The worker is chopping the Popiah |
The second iconic food we came across is the
Bibi Popiah which is also located at the same food court. Most of them who
comes to this food court never fails to order this mouth-watering popiah as a
side dish.
Short History of Bibi Popiah
Operating Hours: 10.30am-10pm (except the food court is closed)
7pm to 10pm
It has been 20 years since this stall has been
opened, that is quite long we would say and it still attracts loyal customers.
The stall is owned by a Chinese lady (name not to be revealed) and the
stall was it seems named after her mother. There are two types of popiah that
are being sold which is the crispy fried popiah as well as the original popiah.
This stall also attracts Malay customers as the popiahs are ‘halal’ which means
it does not contain pork.
This popiah
contains secret ingredients which includes fried shrimps, crushed peanuts,
carrot strips, cucumber strips, sweet and spicy sauce as well as braised
turnips with French beans slices and omelettes stripes.

Popiah RM 2.00
As soon as the
popiah enters into the mouth, it melts and gives a heavenly feel which is not
affordable to be missed by anyone. This Bibi Popiah is particularly popular
among customers as they are certified ‘halal’ and in a country with all sorts
of races, something like this would be very attractive compared to the other
popiah stalls. Besides that, not denying on the taste of the popiah as well as
the feedback from customers, we would grade an A for this stall and it is a
must try for everyone. (sweet and spicy sauce upon customer request)
